Halloween is coming up again! It’s not a European tradition, but it inspired me to create this mysterious and extremely strange nightscape with a full moon.
The moon isn’t actually yellow, of course, but there’s a good reason for the color choice: if you look at the moon first and then at the lines that make up the forest, they appear to flicker alternately yellow and white. The effect is only very small, but it was a reason for me not to paint the full moon silvery white.
