This past week I worked on an idea I’ve had in mind for a quite while: a minimalist garden with the focus on just one flower (maybe more flowers in the future). I draw the flower with lines and take the main color plus some neutral colors (for example white) to give the impression of being in the middle of a flower bed, overflown by its color. The stems with leaves in the background make it look like rich foliage around it.
The first minimalist garden illustrations are inspired by sunflowers, coneflowers (echinacea purpurea) and lavender.
