In the last few weeks I’ve been working on a series of still lifes, which are a little different in style than my previous still lifes. They are a bit looser, the lines less straight, the shapes less precise. This makes the illustrations seem more playful, which I think fits the idea of minimalist abstraction quite well. In my opinion, this style fits well with my abstract-minimalist landscapes, which have also undergone such a development over time. What do you like more, the more clean and precise lines, or the slightly looser style? Write it in a comment!
I have made variants of two of the still lifes. In both cases it was out of curiosity how it would look with a blue instead of an orange background. Always nice to see how much influence a small change has on the overall mood of an illustration.
