Again, this week I mainly worked on the retro landscapes. The overarching theme is still “path into the sunset” and I’ve tried to visualize three aspects of it graphically:
- The first landscape exudes above all peace and quiet: A leisurely evening stroll between fields and meadows, the air is still warm in the last rays of the sun, but the chill of the night is already approaching, as are the shadows.
- The second landscape emphasizes more the contrast between the last light of the setting sun and the shadows of the night, between warmth and cold. Incidentally, the spots in the sun are inspired by the spots you sometimes see after staring at bright sunlight for too long.
- The last landscape shows above all the intensity of the last rays of the sun, which let everything shine brightly for a brief moment before the sun finally sets.
