Typical winter colors reflect the peaceful and cool impression of a winter landscape. These include icy blue, crisp white, deep gray, silver, evergreen and burgundy. But also pastel yellow, pink and purple: Think of the light of the setting sun on white snow. The palette helps to create a calm and relaxed interior, and matches very well with minimalist styles, such as Scandinavian or industrial.

For more color balance, winter colors can be combined with neutral tones like charcoal gray, soft beige and snowy white, but also sunny yellow or gold for some contrast. To take off the cool edge, you can add faux fur, plush fabrics, thick knitted blankets and natural wood elements, which help to bring warmth into a room.
