Today is about the business, because it is #smallbusinesssaturday.

As the owner of a small business, freelancing without staff, I do everything myself. From administration to production to marketing. Usually, I don’t mind, because it’s all part of the game, and is actually fun, most of the time.

Just like the big multinationals, I also have to deal with countless regulations and laws and requirements that I have to comply with, such as the privacy law. But other than large companies, I don’t have a budget for, say, a lawyer, who can write a privacy policy for me. I have to figure it out and keep track of everything myself, and that can sometimes be quite a lot of work.

But the good thing is that there are a lot of small business owners, especially on Etsy, and those who have been doing this for many years have a lot of experience and have already sorted out this and that. And most small entrepreneurs also like to help each other and share their knowledge.

Nonetheless, it remains a challenge and a mix of fun and pressure, sometimes stress. But usually fun, I would say.
