The sixth painting from the series “Field Impressions” features cattails.
Cattails are usually happy close to any natural water. And since the Netherlands have a lot of waterscapes, one can see this plant quit often. Therefore, it was mandatory that I would paint it in this series.
I think that cattails are a beautiful plant, because I like the colors: green, brown in all shades, yellow… Which are exactly the colors I used for this painting.

It is painted with acrylics on stretched canvas and finished with varnish. The sides are painted as well, so that a frame is not necessary. The painting is ready to hang.
