Colorful painting of fuchsia.
Fuchsias are very special because of their shape. Since they hang down they look like lanterns, and because the style and the stamens are longer than the petals, they remind me of a lamp with a string that you pull to turn on the light.
Who knows my paintings knows that I like to change the colors a bit, for example cooler or lighter than they really are. Usually I do this for more contrast or because I want to emphasize the cool morning air or the warmth of the sunset.
In case you make use of Pinterest, I would appreciate if you would pin one of the images below. They are all optimized for Pinterest.
In this painting of fuchsias, I have shifted the colors to a slightly cooler range, so pink with a hint of blue, and green-blue in the background instead of just green. I imagine that the sun is not quite visible yet, and the air is still cool. It is already light here and there, but the night is still hiding between the plants.
The artwork is painted on stretched canvas with acrylic paint (including the sides) and is protected by a layer of varnish. A frame is not required, the painting can be hung directly on the wall.
