The third painting in my miniseries over blue flowers.
Grape Hyacinths keep on being nice to paint. Not only due to the beautiful blue color, but also due to their form. Each plant in its entire form looks interesting, but the single flowers are especially pretty with their white borders.
In case you make use of Pinterest, I would appreciate if you would pin one of the images below. They are all optimized for Pinterest.
In the shadows, the intense blue color of the Grape Hyacinths changes to blue-violet, a color which I used to paint the sky. The green tints of the leaves, stems and the surrounding grass form a nice contrast with the blue colors, which is often the case in nature.
The artwork is painted on stretched canvas with acrylics and finished with varnish. A frame is not necessary since the sides are painted as well.
