Second painting from the series “Field Impressions”.
In this painting, the colors are very different from those in the first painting of the “Field Impressions” series. They are much darker, with green tins, which contain a high amount of blue. The yellow and brown tints are muted, so that the entire painting looks cooler.
It is grass and grains in the early morning, when the sun does not shine bright yet and the air is fresh and humid. Here and there, a beam of sunlight lets the green and brown of the grass glow a little, but the muted and blue-ish colors of the night dominate the scene for a little while longer.
In case you make use of Pinterest, I would appreciate if you would pin one of the images below. They are all optimized for Pinterest.
This second painting is made with acrylics on stretched canvas and finished with varnish. The sides are painted as well, so that no frame is needed. The painting is ready to hang.
